Lisa Gould Rubin

Lisa has been a certified childbirth educator since 1985, and providing labor support long before it became a recognized profession.  Her unique teaching approach helps expectant parents take a realistic look at who they are and how they live their lives and apply it to the experience of having a baby. 

Lisa is a member of Lamaze International and has co-chaired its Westchester County Chapter.  She was a founding member of The Birth Cottage, a free-standing birth center at Hudson Valley Hospital, N.Y.   As a consultant for New York’s Mt. Sinai Hospital, she helped design and implement its hospital-based, doula referral service for expectant patients.  

Her consulting, teaching and labor support practice extends throughout NYC, Westchester and Fairfield counties. 

Jackie Frederick-Berner

Jackie has been an award-winning writer and video producer for more than 15 years.  Her most recent, BabySafe, a child safety video for new parents which she co-wrote and produced, won first place in the American Medical Association’s International Health and Medical Film Competition.  Jackie’s wide range of work includes high-end marketing and informational videos and video news releases and satellite media tours for Fortune 500 companies including American Express, Prudential, IBM and Merck and the documentary, Jack Buck:  The Voice of the Cardinals which was televised on network TV and ESPN.    

Jackie’s experience with Lisa Gould Rubin surrounding the births of her two sons made it clear to her how much expectant parents could benefit from Lisa’s supportive approach.
